Just in time for the warmer weather and the lighter evenings, The Vine is opening its beautiful barn doors once again to embrace the world of living slower, enjoying time and nature, and most importantly, making the most of good food and one another. Returning Wednesday 5th April, our relaxed dining secret, tucked away in a little corner of Portscatho, is ready to showcase the best of Cornwall every Wednesday through to Saturday, with a special surprise this season. With over three and a half thousand visitors last season that we were fortunate enough to spend time with, we can’t wait for all the shared stories, bottles of wine and post-dinner Cornhole competitions, love and laughter to come this year. Our open barn nestled against our vineyard is ready to invite you back to the dinner party of the season: eclectic crockery, colourful dishes, garden games and the flash of polaroid pictures of your four-legged favourites. A Knightor imagining of a Cornish Wonderland, bringing people together over a love of down-to-earth vibes, good food, and even better wine. Though, of course, we can’t possibly be biased… We are incredibly grateful to have been a part of so many special occasions and everyday excursions already, supplying a collection of dishes both little and large for the small moments worth remembering, even after one too many. As we start firing up the oven and stringing the fairy lights, we are so excited for what we can be a part of this year, welcoming even more smiling faces into our ever-growing family. Our small escape aims to be a hub of creative and culinary talent, going beyond just the team behind The Vine, but the undeniable support we continue to receive from the community of Portscatho and beyond. If there’s one thing we promise, it’s to celebrate the experiences around the beloved dinner table, and the humans that help make it happen. You can expect to see some of our fan-favourites returning to the menu this season, including our Knightor Winery Fried Chicken, whilst we continue to explore the beauty of the local produce available to provide you with a true Cornish feast. Having worked with some quintessentially Cornish suppliers last season to provide seasonally prime produce from our own landscape, this year is no different. We’re pleased to be working with the wonderful Wings of St Mawes once again, alongside the independent brewing icons of Verdant Brewery, and Kittows Butchers. If your diary for the Spring/Summer season wasn’t filling up yet, The Vine is honoured to announce an array of special guests for the new season to heat up Sundays. Across the weeks, indulge in that little bit more of Cornwall from our curated Sunday Sessions, featuring a range of surprises from local businesses. Whether you’re in the mood for the French rustic style street food of Bien Manger, or craving a taste of Italy that Sourdoughlicious’ wood-fired pizzas could certainly satisfy- our Sundays are one for that diary. Other guests of our headline include the seafood sandwiches of Got Crabs and Aussie Smoker’s meats and veggies, and our friends over at Dank Frank’s are bringing all of their best Greek-inspired pittas to spice up the dinner party from the comforts of our vineyard barn, for you to indulge in a little bit of everything each week. Whoever said less is more, the team at The Vine beg to differ. From up-beat evenings sound tracked to our own Spotify playlist and filled with blankets and warm candle-light, to quiet, lazy afternoons overlooking the south coast in the summer’s sun, we are ready and waiting for every memory you make.
So thanks to all of you, we bring you The Vine, Season Two. Reservations are open now, from April 5th, for all indoor tables. Walk-in spaces are available for outside tables. For the full calendar of our upcoming Sunday Sessions, please keep an eye over on our Instagram. Comments are closed.
